Self-proclaimed "dream grunge" chanteuse Laura Peters (otherwise known as Psychic Love) proves herself a heck of a leading lady on "Red Sun." With vocals coated in honey and dusk and noir, this is a song that seduces.



Something about Vansire reminds me of Beach Fossils, and I really like it. In "Driftless," these two Minnesotans hit upon a sweet spot of shiver-up-the-spine dreamy lo-fi jangle that is pure loveliness.
   


Julien Baker just announced a signing to Matador Records, which is cause for celebration. In honor of this, Baker released the previously unreleased "Funeral Pyre," yet another devastatingly tender, delicate piece of divinity.
