Singles Club: Tim Carr

It's funny, isn't it, the way a song can grab a hold of you from the instant it starts.

The first minute or two of LA-based troubadour Tim Carr's "The Last Day of Fighting" feels a bit like standing at the summit of a hill, perhaps at sunset, bathed in golden light and with wind whipping around and a chill in the air. It's a feeling of awareness and adventure, of being connected to something special.

By the end of the song, the magic of Carr's enveloping sonic rhythms and beatific, hushed vocals have come to feel like home.
