Video of The Day: Young Mammals

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

Sun, surf, and sassy dance moves. What else do you need on a Sunday? I don't need much else. Mind you, the excellence of the song for which the video was made certainly doesn't hurt. With "Jaguar," from the newly-released long player of the same name, Houston-ites Young Mammals crystallize a heck of a heavy pop surf nugget, self-aware and real and impossibly catchy. The lighthearted video takes the edge off, though the song's still a doozy.
