Video of The Day: Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

Woke up to the sad news about the gorgeous Sharon Jones, who left this world after battling that evil asshole cancer. In tribute to this powerhouse singer, here's a clip of Sharon with her Dap-Kings playing live on Jools Holland's show over in the UK several years back. The gifted Jones is in rare form, soulful and sultry and impossible to ignore. When she gets halfway in and slows it down, she's got the eye of the tigress. A heck of a showwoman, and a true diamond.
