Video of The Day: David Bazan

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

In the wake of this horrible election, David Bazan's "Trouble With Boys" video feels excruciatingly on point. To see Bazan's eyes welling with tears as he delivers the lyrics while his darling young daughter runs and runs by herself down the street. And then there is her smile, at the end, a smile of love and hope and happiness. Maybe when she's older, the world won't feel nearly as sexist as it does and is now. Regardless, the video is beautiful, the song is incredibly poignant, and it's hard to get to the end of it with dry eyes.
