Singles Club: Vitalic

When it came to my attention that French electro vet Vitalic was being described as "fuzzy disco," I couldn't resist checking out new jam "Waiting for The Stars." 

I've got to say, I think fuzzy disco is pretty much right on the money. 

The song has some grandiose, high-drama dancefloor moments, staying just the right side of over the top. The beats affectionately straddle the line, cozying up to vibes both vintage and right now, while the vocals are perfectly and dramatically sweeping. Subtle it's not. And that's quite alright by me.
