Singles Club: Shana Falana

There is a certain magic about some songs. A certain way of transporting you to a special place of sheer happy abandon. For me, Shana Falana's "Cool Kids" is one such song.

The enchanting technicolor bubblegum dreampop of the song is both uplifting and inspiring. A song for the misfits, the outsiders, and "the ones you forgot," "Cool Kids" flies the flag for otherness in the most gloriously lovely way. By far one of my favorite songs of the year.
