Video of The Day: Weaves

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

It's about time to really pay some attention to Weaves, my friends. The video for the pretty grunge of "Shithole" stars frontlady Jasmyn Burke in a variety of visual personas, giving her a star turn along with her fierce, though vulnerable, vocals, while also acutely tapping into the song's inherent isolation. A driving beat and some scuzzed guitar antics add that extra something.
