Video Of The Day: Ancient Cities

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

There's something amusing but a little scary about the Ancient Cities video for "Marmalade." After all, a world where music is illegal isn't a world I care to think too much about. Premise aside, the all-lady cast does a hilariously great job acting out both a band up to no good and the cops that are antagonizing them. As for the song itself, well, it's a sweet little honeycomb of a song, with big riffs and sultry scuzz and all the right heavy psych-infused noise.
