Video of The Day: Primal Scream

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

Several years back, Primal Scream recorded a cover of Nancy and Lee's classic "Some Velvet Morning." Kate Moss provided the Nancy vocal's to Scream leader Bobby Gillespie's Lee, and I thought the serpentine slither of the song was actually rather good. 

Fast forward a few years, and you've got Gillespie and co. at it again, not with a cover but with some definite Nancy and Lee inspiration. This time Sky Ferreira takes the Nancy role, with her boots made for writhing around with Gillespie to the sultry disco synth action the Scream churns out in "Where The Light Gets In." The duo cavorts under a transfixing visual of constantly changing backdrops of saturated color, and all told it all makes me ever so excited to hear this new Scream record.
