Crossing The Pond: Holy Esque

Consider yourself warned, my ducks. It's hard to listen to Holy Esque's "Tear" and not feel moved. After all, as singer Pat Hynes proclaims, "The song has an emotional weight and looks at the ever-constant fears and woes of everyday life against the hope of something better. It touches on escapism and the pursuit of greater things." And he's not kidding, y'all.

The song is fraught with this wonderful tension, a quickened heartbeat energy that pulses mercilessly on. Hynes's vocals hit almost guttural levels at times, adding to the heightened emotional state.

And did I mention the band is based in FL adopted homeland Glasgow? Bonus points there, too.

Just listen. A lot.
