Singles Club: Vandaveer
It always makes me a little teary when a great DC band pulls up stakes and hits the road for pastures new (and hopefully greener). Vandaveer is another transplanted outfit, having left DC for the bluegrass of Kentucky, but they still hold a pretty special place in this gal's heart.
Kentucky has done well by the band, as new song "But Enough On That For Now" shows. The harmonies Mark and Rose create are enough to give me chills, Mark's raspy gravel mixing gorgeously with Rose's milk and honey sweetness (with a kick). It's simply a lovely song, and I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I do. And I hope it gets you pretty excited for the band's new record, The Wild Mercury, out in mid-February.
