On the Road Again: Speedy Ortiz

If you didn't already really like Speedy Ortiz, you might just start to after hearing about this. It's pretty hard not to get solidly behind a band with such a community-minded and do-good mentality. 

You see, the Massachusetts-based sludge pop band has just announced a new tour, which is pretty rad in its own right, but it gets even better. The band's entire tour is all ages, and all proceeds will go to benefit the Girls Rock Camp Foundation. As in, the entire tour proceeds. As far as I'm concerned, that's pretty fucking awesome. 

To offer folks variety (and work with budgetary restraints), the shows will offer levels of donation, and subsequent levels of reward for said donations. It looks a little something like this (give or take at certain venues):

$10 = ticket only, no donation
$15 = ticket +$5 GRCF donation (free custom Speedy Ortiz poster by Michael DeForge for that night's show!)
$20 = ticket +$10 GRCF donation (free custom Speedy Ortiz nail art stickers!)
$40 = ticket +$30 GRCF donation (free GRC print) + all other prizes included!)

So get out there when Speedy Ortiz rolls through your town. Do some good while you enjoy the grungey pop-laden goodness. Full dates and support info below. There's no real DC date, but surely the band is worth the drive either to Baltimore or Richmond (or hell, maybe even both).
