Good Cover Version: Deradoorian Does Janet Jackson

Pulp gave the world the song "Bad Cover Version." But seeing as I'm a sonic optimist, I'm of the belief that there's more likely than not more good cover versions floating around than bad ones. Good Cover Version celebrates the good, and leaves all that bad and ugly stuff alone.

Lord love UK label Tin Angel for releasing an album of covers by the one and only Janet Jackson. I'm getting such nostalgia for the 80s and 90s as I listen to each one of these most interesting covers. I've become partial to Deradoorian's version of the legendary "Pleasure Principle," as it adds a slinky neediness to the song as well as some icy, smoldering vocals. Check out the whole record, if you're in the mood.
