Video of The Day: CHVRCHES

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

I've been waiting rather impatiently on new CHVRCHES material, and now that the new long player Every Open Eye is here I'm a happy kitten. The band's clip for "Leave a Trace" is gorgeous, with the pixie-ish Lauren Mayberry front and center and emoting all manner of feelings while fog floats and feathers dramatically behind her. The single offers more of that familiar addictive, glossy synth action that we all couldn't help but fall in love with on upstart lp The Bones of What You Believe, and shouldn't be missed.
