Crossing the Pond: Reverieme

As much as I love gloriously loud cacophonies of effects pedals and waves upon waves of noise, sometimes a girl likes to tone it down a wee bit. As in, girl + acoustic. And that's it.

Hailing from Airdrie, Louise Connell, otherwise known as Reverieme, hits the spot. Connell's voice coos bittersweet, prettily melancholy and at times a touch otherworldly. Songs like "Plankton" are what ought to get folks more than a little excited, and I for one can't wait to hear more.
