Video of The Day: DRINKS

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

What happens when you mix an earthy, eccentrically ethereal Welsh voice with waves of quirky, psych-folk noises? The answer, friends, is DRINKS. The "solo" project of Cate Le Bon and Tim Presley (White Fence/Darker My Love), DRINKS is wonderful. The delightfully eccentric "Hermits on Holiday" has an accompanying video full of wavering, blurred scenes of Cate and Tim traversing San Francisco as the loveliness of Le Bon's voice shines amidst Presley's pepperings of bouncy, folksy psych. The pair is releasing their full-length in August, and I can't wait.
