Crossing The Pond: Seabirds

If there's one thing I can't get enough of, it's slightly twee, breathy and breathlessly delightful indie pop with just a touch of melancholy (see: Belle & Sebastian, Camera Obscura, Teenage Fanclub on occasion, and so on and so forth).

Making rumblings in this particular avenue is Nottingham's Seabirds, an outfit that fuses fuss-free, lovely harmonies with pop undertones and a fine mix of wistful whimsy and carefree abandon with just a little grit. Bonus points given for name checking everyone's least favorite font, Comic Sans. Well played. A long player is in the works, and I can't wait to give it a listen.
