Video Of The Day: Reptile Youth

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

I can be a little (melo) dramatic sometimes, and as such I love it when a video takes itself seriously. This one, for Reptile Youth's unbelievably infectious track "Above," is serious as it gets. Beautifully shot, this is six minutes of cinematic drama. Love triangles! Babies! Dudes at a cheap motel! Dudes fighting over a girl! It's rich, dark, and dirty. And I like it. The song itself is a gem, too, and I'm sure I'll talk more about it later. But for now, enjoy the prettiness, y'all.
