October 25: Ringo Deathstarr Day

It is always a happy day indeed when the trio of Austin noisemakers Ringo Deathstarr comes to town. This time, y'all, I'm so dang excited for their local appearance that I'm going ahead and decreeing today to be Ringo Deathstarr Day.

The band is on the road promoting latest LP Mauve, a record which is obviously all sorts of unquestionably wonderful and which, obviously, you should be procuring immediately, if not sooner. I'll gush about it in due time.  Don't you worry, friends.

But as far as tonight's show goes, between the three of them, there will be a bonanza of pummeling, pulsating noise, slinky chanteuse vocals, and snarling drumming ferocity. And it will be beautiful. If you've got free time this evening, be at the Red Palace for this one. And if you've already got plans, break 'em.
