The Untitled Interview #189 - Hopscotch Edition: Starring Wowser Bowser

As y'all know, I had a rather enjoyable time down in Raleigh last year for my first ever Hopscotch, and it was so very good that I just had to go back again this year! The lineup looks frighteningly good, which means that yours truly will be making some seriously difficult decisions about how to spend her time. And of course, I had to get in touch with some folks that I was super excited about getting a chance to see in this installment of the festival. If you’ll be down for Hopscotch this year, make sure you keep these bands on your radar. And now, friends, let's get into it with this year's INTERVIEWSCOTCH!

When people say Hotlanta, they're not just talking about the way the weather gets all kinds of sizzling during the summer months. They might very well be talking about the super synthy fun times created by Wowser Bowser. Full of youthful exuberance, Wowser Bowser knows how to have a good time, and I can only imagine they know how to share the good times. Keep reading to see how the adorably quirky Atlantans will be spending their time at Hopscotch, and don't be surprised if you happen to run into them giggling maniacally and sucking on some helium (see question 5).

Fuzzy Logic: How are you getting to Hopscotch: plane, train, or automobile?
Wowser Bowser: Soul Train!

FL: Inevitably, you will forget to pack:
WB: Our trumpet player, Joseph Crabb. Don't worry though, he'll find a way up.

FL: How many shows/parties will you be playing?
WB: One extra crazy show.

FL: Band you're most looking forward to seeing at the festival?
WB: Dan Deacon, The Roots, Deerhoof, Danny Brown is also crazy good. We're pretty psyched for the whole deal.

FL: What's the first thing you plan on doing upon arrival in Raleigh?
WB: Blowing up balloons like it's the end of the damn world.

FL: What was the first festival you ever attended, either as a musician or member of the general public?
WB: We all went to Pitchfork a few years back and had a blast. We also plan on religiously playing Namaste fest in Dahlonega, Georgia every year.

FL: Favorite thing about festivals?
WB: Face paint all over the place.
