Sometimes I listen to a song by a certain band that I maybe don't listen to all that much and wonder why it is exactly that I don't listen all that much to said certain band. Like, for instance, this killer Siouxsie cover by School of Seven Bells, released on a 7" on Record Store Day this past April.
Sure, the original is slinky and wonderful and hard to beat, but this here cover takes this to entirely different places. From the almost tribal, synth-heavy beats to the gorgeous, siren vocals, this song can definitely take you where you need to go. I'd say it was a pretty gutsy move to cover such a song, but I think the band does themselves proud. It's a pretty dang sexy cover, y'all, and I definitely all sorts of like it.
