Sounds Of SXSW #9: Christopher Paul Stelling

SXSW is upon us once again, my friends, and sadly, for mostly work-related reasons, I won't be there (alas, alack, etc etc). However, there are plenty of good bands that will be in Austin, and I'm going to post little somethin-somethins for y'all to enjoy, whether you're headed down to Texas or not.

You might say that Christopher Paul Stelling plays music in tones of sepia. There's an age to his songs, that despite being all of the moment and what have you, he couldn't shake if he tried. "Ghost Ship" is a gem, spooky violin play and Stelling's devilishly good guitar pickin' paving the way. If I was gonna be in Austin, believe you me I'd find a way to see this gentleman do what he does in the flesh.
