Sounds Of SXSW #4: Harriet

SXSW is upon us once again, my friends, and sadly, for mostly work-related reasons, I won't be there (alas, alack, etc etc). However, there are plenty of good bands that will be in Austin, and I'm going to post little somethin-somethins for y'all to enjoy, whether you're headed down to Texas or not.

Alex Casnoff might have left Dawes, but he hasn't left his penchant for infectious Americana hooks behind. In new project Harriet, Casnoff indulges in some great Boss-esque posturing, and in songs like "I Slept With All Your Mothers" the result is pretty magical. It's theatrical, lovely, and commanding. And guess who loves it? Yeah, this gal.
