Sounds Of SXSW #3: Supreme Cuts

SXSW is upon us once again, my friends, and sadly, for mostly work-related reasons, I won't be there (alas, alack, etc etc). However, there are plenty of good bands that will be in Austin, and I'm going to post little somethin-somethins for y'all to enjoy, whether you're headed down to Texas or not.

I've got a soft spots for knob-twiddlers, so I can't really let Supreme Cuts go down SXSW-ing without a mention. The Chicago boys make their machinery sound almost soulful, using well-chosen, carefully-manipulated samples and arch, cold beats to create something rather special in the song "Silkk." I suspect they might could make some folks dance down there in the capital of Texas.
