Sounds Of SXSW #25: Treetop Flyers

SXSW is upon us once again, my friends, and sadly, for mostly work-related reasons, I won't be there (alas, alack, etc etc). However, there are plenty of good bands that will be in Austin, and I'm going to post little somethin-somethins for y'all to enjoy, whether you're headed down to Texas or not.

I quite often find myself with California on the brain, and it appears I'm not the only one. London-based Treetop Flyers wears their Laurel Canyon love on their sleeve with their self-proclaimed "freewheelin' country soul n' roll." It's a little bit Flying Burrito Brothers, a little bit Crosby, Stills & Nash (maybe a bit of Young in there at times too), and makes for great songs to California dream to.
