Sounds Of SXSW #17: Guards

SXSW is upon us once again, my friends, and sadly, for mostly work-related reasons, I won't be there (alas, alack, etc etc). However, there are plenty of good bands that will be in Austin, and I'm going to post little somethin-somethins for y'all to enjoy, whether you're headed down to Texas or not.

Oh holy hell, y'all. Guards went and did it again. I tell you what, that Richie James Follin is a wiley little rascal, knocking out songs that are impossibly catchy and sweet as can be, in that slightly grimey, sludgepop kinda way, of course. "Do It Again" is perfectly scuzzy and perfectly adorable, pretty much daring you not to cut a rug to it. Don't fight it, feel it.
