Sounds Of SXSW #13: Eternal Summers

SXSW is upon us once again, my friends, and sadly, for mostly work-related reasons, I won't be there (alas, alack, etc etc). However, there are plenty of good bands that will be in Austin, and I'm going to post little somethin-somethins for y'all to enjoy, whether you're headed down to Texas or not.

Most active of the Roanoke'n'Rollers (yes, I'm still milking that, thank you very much), Eternal Summers, will be down in Austin prepping for the release of their latest,
The Dawn of Eternal Summers (which is actually more like the ghosts of Eternal Summers' past, as it's a collection of older ES material released prior to the Silver LP as well as a few covers), dropping on Record Store Day. I'm addicted to "Heart Squeeze," full of seriously staccato drumming and Nicole's vocals more biting and snippy than you might expect. Dang, y'all. This is a good, good band. And they just keep getting better.
