Singles Club: The Cinnamon Band

It's March, almost April, which means I'm a little behind in gushing over part the third in The Cinnamon Band's 12x12 covers series. Having already given The Roches and Nick Lowe their special treatment, the boys decided to cover "good buddies and erstwhile touring companions The Handsome Furs."

"Dead + Rural" sees the gents of The Cinnamon Band once more reworking someone else's song into their own thanks to that back road bluesy rock they do so very well. On this particular afternoon it sounds very, very nice indeed.
