Our Daily Vinyl #11: My Bloody Valentine

It is a sad but true fact of life that I once derisively mocked anyone who opined how amazing vinyl was and how music just sounded better when played on a turntable. Now, in a somewhat ironic twist of fate, I’ve come to realize, well, it’s true.

They're also some pretty awesome dudes, so I figured I'd get all nosy about singer/guitarist Matt Klimas' vinyl collection, because that's how I roll. Thankfully, Matt's into sharing, and one Sunday Richmond morning at Globehopper we met to do some record talk. As soon as I saw this one, friends, I knew what I'd be posting first. So without further ado, I'll let Matt explain why he loves this one. And Matt, keep your eyes peeled. The minute you turn your back, this one's coming home with me...

Isn't Anything – My Bloody Valentine: The beautifully gritty precursor to their opus. This album truly sounds better on vinyl, adding just the right amount of warmth.
