Fuzzy Logic @ STPP Fest - FUN

It's almost here, friends! The Fall installment of the STPP Fest is nigh upon us, and it's about time to get to know the musicians that are part of the showcase yours truly has put together. Come spend your weekend at The Islander with us!

BIO: FUN is comprised of two carbon-based lifeforms living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their goal: to show glimpses into a literal, brutal and true world. Their means: whatever they deem appropriate. Contrary to their name, the group’s sounds are the furthest thing from “fun” that any listener will find. The project is centered on the lack of “true fun” in daily existence, interpreted using various conceptual approaches, devices, tools, and (rarely) musical instruments. FUN abstains from the luxury of repeating their performances or recordings, instead steadfastly choosing to constantly evolve and claw their way towards ushering Post Non-Music into the collective consciousness.

True to their commitment to excavating heretofore unexplored sonic territories, FUN excels in the sheer invention of their actions for live performances. Serious consideration is given to the construction of each performance, where heavy concepts are tackled through a vernacular of rumbles, clatter, and respiration. Beyond showing genuine creativity in the execution of their in-person actions, FUN acts as a harbinger of an anti-music existence. Each manifestation of the group, whether recorded or live, represents an antagonistic gesture of musical annihilation. This is Post Non-Music, the soundtrack to the bleakness and confusion that is today, tomorrow, and the rest of your life. This is FUN.

FUN plays Saturday at midnight.
