It's almost here, friends! The Fall installment of the STPP Fest is nigh upon us, and it's about time to get to know the musicians that are part of the showcase yours truly has put together. Come spend your weekend at The Islander with us!

BIO: Fear of Virginia began in a living room over shots of Kentucky Gentlemen. This is how most good things begin.

Over the course of 6 months, the band has changed lineups, lost a keyboardist, gained a brother and acquired a fiddle. The current group of Mike Sciortino, Matt McCauley, Tess Scharlemann, Sam and Ben Kussin-Shoptaw and Dave Turner gets together a few times a week, cracks open a few adult beverages and coalesces in a concrete shed. The combination of acoustic and electric instruments harkens splashes a little bit of folk into an all-American rock sound. Do you like to shake your hips? Do you like to sing along? Do you like serious guitar solos that leave you screaming for more? Then you’ll like Fear of Virginia. Don’t get scared; get rocked.
