Singles Club: Seapony

Seeing as it's Sunday afternoon, it's about time to decide on a perfect Sunday afternoon song, wouldn't you agree? I submit to you gentlemen and women of the jury that "Dreaming" by Seattle's Seapony most exceptionally fits the bill, and I think once you hear it you'll be inclined to agree.

You've got an overall dreamy, spectral sound somewhere betwixt the fuzzy haze made by Galaxie 500 and Lush (with more than a little of the latter's poppy goodness), sugar sweetness with just a dash of defiance to the vocals, and the imprint of late Spring in the sun-dappled ups and downs. It's short but very, very sweet, much like a DC Spring.
